Congratulations on the anniversary! I'm honored to be counted among your early subscribers, and look forward to many more of your thoughtful posts. And please let me know when you and Pete make it back to the Bay Area - I miss you! Maybe we can go back to the Iron Horse when it's NOT full of convention-going bros....

Thanks Martin! I've appreciated your comments all along the way.

There will be an email in your inbox shortly! Yes, yes, absolutely to the Iron Horse sans bros. And maybe that yummy Italian place down the hill again too sometime 😉.xx

Such a beautiful post, Sabrina! Happy, happy, happy anniversary!

That 'Home Sweet Home' stone in your garden? The fact that it had been there for YOU to discover at your new home has brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely gorgeous.

You've asked what topics I'd like to read about on 'Geography of Home'. I love the sound of all of those - but that's by the by, because what I would love to read is ANYTHING you've written. I'd like to read whatever you've enjoyed writing, regardless of subject matter, because I already know how much I'll love it. 😊

Thank you for such a kind mention - I really appreciate it!

Enjoy your break! I wish you many adventures between now and September... and of course beyond! 😘

Aww, thanks so much Rebecca! Right back 'atcha with the desire to read whatever you write. And as to adventure, I feel like we end up having similar adventures in our own way. One of these days, I'll make it to your part of the big Island, or you to the IoW, and we'll have one of our gentle adventures together. That will be a TREAT! Thanks for all your support along the way.

Adventures are brilliant, aren't they? I'm never quite sure whether I prefer planned ones or spontaneous ones... but there will always be something out there to delight us! ♥️

I deeply admire your courage, and your voice! I’m a character-driven reader, so I suppose I’d like to hear more about people you meet who help ground you. ❤️

Thanks Katie; writing about people will be a really interesting challenge for me! I'll keep that in mind as I am planning over the next month. I may follow up with you about that more, too!

Sabrina, like you, I'm a relatively newbie and am staggered that I've managed to make contact with so many superlative thinkers/readers.

I'd be happy to read any and everything that you post. There are absolute gems on Substack and I think you just might be one of them!

Oh prue, what a lovely thing to say. Thanks so much for your very thoughtful writing too! It's people like you that keep me on my game and inspired to keep trying harder. This wonderful ecosystem of writers and readers does help counter the less positive 'regular' news feed, certainly. Looking forward to the future of our writing world!

I won't say that I'm disappointed you're going on vacation but I count on these posts every Thursday. I am truly glad you are vacationing because I have an idea where you are going and I'm thrilled for you. But I will miss these posts

I am so proud of you for your diligence, perseverance, and thoughtfulness for putting yourself out there every week. Good for you! I imagine you publish one week but you are already into the draft of the next one. A real writer! Very happy for you and I look forward to seeing you back shortly. Sending love.

Thanks so much Andrea-I am vary happy to hear you look forward to reading these posts! What a delight for a writer to hear ❤️. I've always got several random essays in progress and it's only towards the middle of the week that I figure out what will make it into a post that week. A bit of a juggling act but also never boring! I am looking forward to the vacation too, and many of our favourite places. The time will fly for both of us! Thanks always for your support and friendship.

How fantastic! Yay you! I've enjoyed reading about your life, and look forward to more. It is scary to leap into the public eye, isn't it? As you have, I have found joy in these new connections. Keep up the great work, both the writing and the photography.

Anniversary congrats, Sabrina! I've enjoyed every post, many of which brought back fond memories.

Re topic selection? I'm most interested in hearing YOUR voice, so whether you want to expound on homemaking, garden observations (you know one of my biases!), travel... you choose, I promise to listen, and sometimes to comment. THANK YOU, friend, for enriching my life. I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Ahh, Lisa, thanks so much for your congrats, and for being with me all along this journey! I've enjoyed your comments immensely and of course, you are the genesis of the word KIPPLE! (Also, of turning my final kipple into gold.) Thanks for your feedback - who knows where we will go next! So glad you are here with us ❤️
