I had to put on my dark glasses with those vivid shots of color! How beautiful. Thank you for sharing those. I love the photo of the fam. Lucky you! Lucky all.
Oh, I really wanted to go see that show and we just never got the timing right. I'm so glad you got to see it. As a glass blower you would have appreciated his skill and SCALE! The garden at the gallery we visited is also exquisite, although I didn't post as many photos from it. His organic shapes work so well in a garden setting. Put this one on your bucket list!
You’re soooo right about the scale of his pieces - they’re absolutely IMMENSE, aren’t they?! On the scale I worked (beads!) I could fit multiple pieces into the palm of one hand… which is NOT something you can say about Chihuly! 🤣
It brings a smile to my face as well. He's a master and taken the art/work of glass blowing to a new level. His shop is located at the northeast end of Lake Union. I just watched a PBS show on his Rodolfo project, which are the very large coiled pieces intertwined with each other. I regret the opportunity to buy one of his pieces in 2002 when he was recognized as a cultural "icon" during the Olympics in Salt Lake City. Thanks for the spray of color.
Oh wow-I bet you are kicking yourself about that missed opportunity! But thank goodness we can all enjoy his glass-art-work still and in all it's glory in the museum in Seattle. There is a wonderful piece of his at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London which always takes my breath away. So even far away from Seattle I can catch a glimpse and feel that excitement. Thanks for sharing the information!
You are lucky to have access to see it more often! One of these trips I still hope to meet up with you! Hope you and your family are well and are enjoying the seasonal festivities.
Thank you, Sabrina, for sharing the stunning Chihuly artwork. I adore his work. It always brings a smile to my face and joy in my heart. The Seattle Chihuly Gallery is one of my favorite spot!!
Thanks Beth! We all had a fabulous time there as you can see by the smiles! If I lived in the area I would try to go once a month just to get my fix of the saturated colours. Lucky you to live in the area! xx

Isn't the colour amazing??!! Too good not to share!
We have been having such a wonderful time together.
So very happy to hear it.
He creates his own universe. Thanks for the smile this morning!
That is a great way to describe his art Ginny! It is a whole world to itself. xx
That be one good looking family, and thanks for the bright color saturation! I am currently in New England.
Thank you Tim. We are a jolly lot in that photo! And enjoy lovely New England. I bet you have some snow too!
Gorgeous pics, Sabrina! Dale Chihuly is one of my glass-art heroes, although his work of course is a much, much larger scale than my own ever was!
A few years ago I went to his exhibition 'Gardens of Glass' at Kew Gardens - it was absolutely breathtaking.
Gorgeous post - a real treat!

And so glad your time away was filled with sparkle. Long may it remain so.
Thanks so much Prue. Glad you enjoyed the photos. I’m holding the colours and the family time close. Xx
Tiny parcel on way. May not arrive till after Christmas. Depends on mail...
You’re a Christmas angel! Many thanks!
